Augmentation of CoE at IIT Kharagpur

This project under MHI CG-Scheme Phase-II involves four key innovation projects in collaboration with two industry partners i.e., Tata Motors & Tata Steel. The first project focuses on leveraging Augmented and Virtual Reality (AR/VR) for enhanced skill development and assembly operations checking within manufacturing. The second project aims to establish an Industry 4.0-equipped digital solution for real-time weld defect monitoring and control in automotive Body in White structures. A third project centers on deploying cobot-based vision analytics for automated quality inspection in automobile process lines. Finally, the fourth project concentrates on a material science innovation, designing a synthetic slag for inclusion control of LCAK structural steel.
