Brief

The Excavators are the primary earthmoving equipment which are used for excavation of earth & other mining materials and play vital role in construction and mining operations. The demand for Electric Rope Shovels specially in smaller capacities 5Cu.M has depleted substantially over last decade and this segment of market has been replaced by Hydraulic Excavators. To suit the requirement of various customers and current market scenarios, HEC designed new hydraulic excavator with the latest state of the art technology & hydraulic system parts. HEC has technical support as well as design validation from IIT – ISM Dhanbad for the development of this machine. Under the MHI CG Scheme, HEC indigenously designed and manufactured different parts of the above machine namely the under carriage, upper carriage and front end attachment. Heavy fabrication, machining and assembly of the machine as a whole has been completely done in-house. HEC indigenous “Hydraulic Excavator” have Special Features such as • Electronic controlled powerful, economical & fuel efficient diesel engine • CAN controlled system- Eliminate engine stalling • Electronic controlled advance hydraulic system supplied by M/s Eaton cater to fastest cycle time, precision and efficiency performance • Advance CMA type valve are used to eliminate external pilot control lines. • Optimum power utilized by the hydraulic system • Hammerless & easy mountable twisted type tooth points • All track pad link are life time sealed & self lubricated type • Robust structure • Low ground bearing pressure etc. Though some Hydraulic components like pump, valves, hydraulic motors, transmission gear boxes are still imported but, the hoses, cylinders, fittings and filters has been sourced from indigenous manufactures. Hydraulic Excavators shall cater to the growing demand under this capacity raised by Indian Mining sector as well as compensate the decreasing business of Electric Rope Shovel of bucket size 5Cu.M. HEC approached CIL for the trial order of HEC developed Hydraulic Shovel(Front Hoe) and revised offer for the same will be submitted to CIL.
