HMT Machine Tools Ltd, Bangalore has developed such a Four-Guideway turning machine. The machine has the capacity to machine component’s weight up to 20 Tons. The development of this machine required specialized design inputs and for this HMT Machine Tools Ltd engaged Fraunhofer Institute, Germany as consultant. The machine has been developed to cater to defense, railways, power and other strategic sectors for machining large turned components. The machine brings high productivity to the manufacture of such components resulting in lower cost and shorter lead times.
