The project aims at development of a Centre consisting of all key facilities for engineering including textile machinery component manufacturing namely Design Centre (DC), Proto-type / Product Development Centre (PDC), Testing & Calibration Laboratory (TCL) and Training & Skill Development Centre (TSDC) with a special focus on those activities and services which are not available with the small and medium units like product development centre, quality control lab, skill development centre, etc.

A Skill Development Centre will also be set up for training purposes. The four pillars of the project envisaged for engineering & technological upgradation, R&D innovation, skill development and employment generation, are: Design Centre (DC), Proto-type / Product Development Centre (PDC), Testing & Calibration Laboratory (TCL) and Training & Skill Development Centre (TSDC). Such common facilities do not exist around Western part of India and will serve SMEs engaged in the manufacturing of textile machineries and their accessories. It will also help to build & upgrade MSME sector, future generation, lecturers / professors of the engineering colleges and other technical institutes.
